On Monday, March 29, the European Commission published EXECUTION REGULATION (EU) 2021/546 (BOE 30.03.2021) imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on aluminum extrusions originating in China. These tariffs range between 21.2% and 32.1% and will be in force for the next five years, as a result of an investigation opened in February 2020, following a complaint filed by the European Aluminum industry association.
The measure modifies the previous one that was provisionally implemented in September of last year and was intended to ensure that, if the results of the investigation lead to the imposition of anti-dumping duties (calculated up to 37% of anti-dumping duties), such duties could be collected retroactively with respect to registered imports.
