Monday, June 20, 2022. Congress gives the green light to the new bill to promote the rehabilitation and improvement of homes and buildings. This new regulation includes a set of measures in terms of taxation, financing and improvement of the regulatory framework that will facilitate the application of the aid programs financed from the NextGenerationEU funds.
Among the taxation measures, three innovative deductions stand out in the IRPF quota of 20%, 40% and 60% for works to improve energy efficiency in homes and residential buildings and for whose financing an item of 450 has been enabled million from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Others are added to this measure, such as the creation of a line of guarantees of up to 1,100 million euros, which includes partial coverage by the State of the financing of rehabilitation works that contribute to improving energy efficiency.
In improving the regulatory framework, the regulation introduces improvements in Law 49/1960, of July 21, on horizontal property, to facilitate decision-making in the communities of owners. In addition, the capacity of action of communities of owners for access to credit for rehabilitation works and improvement of buildings is reinforced.
In this way, an opportunity is created for the rehabilitation and improvement of homes and residential buildings, through the existence of different measures to improve the ecological transition of Spanish infrastructures.
